Honorary vice-Consul Ale Gicqueau and Mrs. Alina Gicqueau visited Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day weekend. The team at the Las Vegas Consulate and the Consular Chamber of Commerce took advantage of the visit to show vice-Consul Gicqueau how the international society in Las Vegas treats visiting dignitaries.

The first night the visitors were treated to front row seats at Two Tenors and a Rose, an operatic musical event and after-party sponsored by the Consulate of Monaco.
The next evening vice-Consul and Mrs. Gicqueau, Consul Warren and Consul Paulina Biggs Sparkuhl were treated by our good friends at the Consulate of Poland to VIP seating at Le Reve, the amazing show at the Wynn Resort. This followed a wonderful dinner at the Wynn, where we were joined by John Petkus, Honorary Consul of Poland and Mrs. Mickey Petkus, who is certainly one of the best Las Vegas connections anyone could have.

The Consulate of the Principality of Monaco in Las Vegas and supporters of the Consular Chamber of Commerce came together to promote the Arts on February 12, 2011 with the executive production of Two Tenors and a Rose, and sponsorship of a VIP seating section and after-party at the Stirling Club in Las Vegas.
With the colors of Monaco’s red and white flag a natural color scheme for the romantic event, event sponsor Jovani Linens and Event Design decked out the venue, including sixty special VIP seats in the theater of over two hundred. Consuls of Poland and Sweden joined Consul Warren and special guests Ale Gicqueau, vice-Consul of Monaco in San Francisco and Mrs. Gicqueau, at the performance.
Other event sponsors included Adam Silversmith Photography, who shot the promotional photos of the event. Kathleen von Schaefer, Chief of Protocol for the Consulate, sponsored roses for all of the ladies. Tuxedo Junction, always the haberdasher to Consul Warren (who acted as MC for the event), also provided support for the performance.
